This magnificent Conway Stewart William Shakespeare hand-painted fountain pen is Edition 21 of 25. It was bought by a collector in Stratford upon Avon when originally launched but has never been used, and is “as new” condition in original diamond presentation box and with original Conway Stewart certificate. As far as we know, it has never been inked.
The Conway Stewart William Shakespeare hand-painted prototype is a fitting tribute to England’s greatest writer, featuring a scene from one of his most memorable works, Romeo and Juliet on the barrel. The cap is adorned with the likeness of Shakespeare himself, taken from the famous engraving in the First Folio of Shakespeare’s works.
The artwork is meticulously applied by hand to each pen individually by award winning artist John Dillon GM. He specialises in custom art work using advanced airbrushing techniques and is the only artist in the UK to have had a custom art piece purchased by the Tate Modern Galley in London. He has worked for many prestigious companies such as Ducati, Maserati and Ferrari Engineering to name just a few. The pen is based on the classic Conway Stewart Churchill shape and comes with a Conway Stewart 18 carat gold Medium nib and cartridge/converter fill.
