A rare opportunity for pen collectors
The Conway Stewart Dandy typifies the understated elegance of 1920s pen design and for many years has been one of Conway Stewart’s most distinctive profiles. Discreet in size, which adds greatly to its charm, the Dandy has now been reintroduced in this limited edition in a beautiful Woodgrain material with gold plated fittings. The Conway Stewart Dandy Woodgrain ebonite is quite a rarity. Ebonite is a form of hard rubber, sometimes called vulcanite, that was used in pen manufacture in the first half of the 20th century and occasionally resurrected by Conway Stewart in the past 20 years.
We believe we are quite fortunate to have acquired a small quantity of components in this exquisite material from the stock sold off by the Administrators last year. We have sufficient components to make up just 12 Dandies in this beautiful Woodgrain and gold colour combination. In view of the scarcity of Conway Stewart ebonite pens, we believe they will be snapped up quickly by eager collectors. Without doubt, this is a pen for the writing connoisseur which will be admired and cherished whenever it is used.
The Conway Stewart Dandy Woodgrain ebonite is available with a cartridge/converter filling system and carries a genuine 18ct gold Conway Stewart nib. We have a wide range of nib options available with this pen: Broad, Double Broad, Italic Broad, Extra Fine, Italic Fine and Italic Medium.
Each pen is housed in an exclusive Conway Stewart black leather presentation box and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
