The Conway Stewart Winston Dartmoor uses one of the best-loved and most distinctive Conway Stewart fountain pen shapes that brings a fresh, modern style to the timeless oversize flat top look. With a slight taper to the barrel end and a gently rounded cap top, the Conway Stewart Winston Dartmoor holds true to the classic 1920s styling that made Conway Stewart famous. Dartmoor is a rich peaty colour that perfectly reflects the high Devon moorland after which it is named and which has been a favourite with Conway Stewart collectors for many years.

    SKU: N/A Category:

The Conway Stewart Winston Dartmoor is named in honour of Sir Winston Churchill, the best known and perhaps most respected British Prime Minister of the 20th Century. He was larger than life and had opinions to match!

This version of the Winston is in Dartmoor acrylic with polished gold fittings. For those who are unfamiliar with the colour, it is named after the upland area of Devon in South West England, close to the former Conway Stewart factory in Plymouth. It’s a wild and desolate place made famous by Conan Doyle’s ‘Hounds of the Baskervilles’ and this dark peaty brown, almost black colour, flecked with bracken, suits it perfectly. It’s not an ostentatious colour; it’s more refined, understated and professional than many other Conway Stewart acrylics and for that reason has always been popular with pen enthusiasts.

The barrel is set off with a thin gold ring at the bottom, and another gold band at the section, while the cap features a pair of thin gold rings. In line with all of the Winston range, the Winston Dartmoor is available with a Twist-fill mechanism only and comes fitted with one of our Flag 18ct gold nibs. They are available in Fine, Medium and Broad to suit your writing style and each nib bears the distinctive Flag logo.

The Conway Stewart Winston Dartmoor is the ideal choice if you prefer a large pen; one that stands out in a crowd, but which still stays true to the classic style and feel of a classic vintage Conway Stewart design. The top mounted clip allows the pen to sit low in your pocket, making the Winston a more practical choice for everyday use, and there is a carefully balanced solid brass liner to the barrel which gives this model a comfortable heft without making it too heavy for comfortable use.

The Conway Stewart Winston Dartmoor is inspired by the great man and the result is a substantial pen robustly built with subtle accents of solid gold.

Each pen is housed in an original Conway Stewart black leather presentation box which doubles as an elegant desk display and comes complete with Certificate of Authenticity, Conway Stewart User Guide and a special anti-tarnish polishing cloth to keep your pen in sparkling condition.
